Outline of Tutorial Program
A meeting is set up with the tutorial coordinator and parents to discuss their child’s academic concerns. In addition, the child’s educational background and home life is discussed. We then proceed to create a unique plan of action for the particular child in question. Finally a contract is presented and signed.
Plan of Action:
-
Amount of sessions per week
-
Which subjects need more attention
-
Scheduled times
-
Best tutor that can cater to the child’s needs
- Once the arrangements are made, the child is matched with a tutor. All tutors are interviewed and evaluated prior to tutor selection.
- Once tutorials begin, the first few sessions are based on evaluating the child’s academic skills. This allows the tutor the opportunity to know exactly where they should begin and what kind of teaching skills will benefit the child. Furthermore the tutor fills out evaluation forms after every session; this allows the parents as well as the tutorial coordinator to be involved and informed of all improvements or challenges.
- There is also a regular follow up with all parties involved. The tutorial coordinator will then meet individually with tutors, students and parents to see if all is going well according to the plan of action that was set up at the beginning of the program. If all is well and all parties are satisfied, program continues as is, if not then modifications are made to improve results.
- Our tutorial program benefits all parties involved,
